Capacitor Explorer 2.0

Capacitor Explorer is a free tool for viewing impedance profile of capacitors. Many capacitor manufacturers are provide capacitor models which is a zipped file containing s-parameter formatted model files. 

Those models are used on power integrity simulation. Before selecting capacitor, you must know the the impedance characteristics of capacitors and that can be done by using Capacitor Explorer.

Capacitor manufacturers may provide similar tool like this. But those tools show only their products and may not show the total results of multiple capacitors.

커패시터 s-parameter 모델의 impedance profile을 쉽게 볼 수 있고, 다수의 부품을 선택하거나 부품 수량을 변경했을 때의 impedance 변화를 비주얼 하게 볼 수 있다.

커패시터 s-parameter 파일은 murata나 samsung 같은 제조 회사 홈페이지에서 다운 받을 수 있다. 보통 zip 행태로 압축되어 있는 것을 받아서 적당한 폴더에 풀어 놓고 사용하면 된다.

보통 칩 조제사들도 이와 유사한 툴을 제공하지만, 오직 자신들의 부품만 보여 주며, 여러 개를 선택할 경우 조합한 결과를 보여주지 않지만 이 툴은 칩 제조사와 상관없이 사용할 수 있다.
